Celebrate the Season

They may not be 13-0, but another group of Patriots had a lot to
celebrate recently.
The Allentown Patriots capped another productive year, in which
they hosted more than 100 teams and 400 games at Pates Park, with
their annual awards banquet last month.
Presentations were made to Krysta (Pidstawski) Wolf,
the former Parkland and Delaware pitching great, who was honored
with the collegiate awardfor her many achievements on the softball
field and her overall contributions to the sport.
Frank Nace was saluted for his 25-plus years as
a player, manager and league officer in Lehigh Valley Fastpitch.
Donald Buchecker was given the Danny Felegy Patriot
Memorial Award for his 15 years of tireless service to Pates Park
and the Patriots organization.
Ben Gress was given a community service award for
his 25 years of volunteer work with the local crime watch, the Allentown
Municipal Opera and other activities.
In 2008, the Allentown Patriots celebrated their 60th year as
an organization.
